Cadet Ranks

Members of the fleet have cadet ranks while the orientation phase in the fleet. Cadets can't get medals nor get asigned to a ship, nor participate on gaming events till they got ensign, so most members choose to graduate from the academy pretty fast.

	Master Cadet (Academy Only)

Junior Officers

Junior officers just passed the academy and start their careers. Promotions within these ranks usually don't take too long as long as the member shows his activity pretty often.

	Ensign
	Second Lieutenant
	Lieutenant

Senior Officers

Senior Officers are veterans of the fleet. They have been member of the fleet for a long time, and showed their activity pretty often. Promotions within theese ranks usually take much more time. It's easier to get from Cadet to Lieutenant then from Lieutenant to Lieutenant Commander, and that counts for each ranking step.

Junior Admirals

Usually these ranks are given to high commanders or officers that show extraordinary service to the fleet. Noone gets automatically promoted in one of these ranks, you are ever compared to the others holding that rank.

	Commodore
	Rear Admiral
	Vice Admiral

Senior Admirals

When you have reached admiral you really can say, you have made it, it's the highest line rank, you can archive, the ranks above are just honorary and don't differ from admiral in payment, command abilities or privileges. Well, everyone in every position may get admiral in his career, but only a minority make it that far. From that point you can only get promoted for a heroical deed for the club.

Imperial Senior Admirals

When the 5th was an Imperial fleet some other ranks has been given out. Since the Republic don't support these ranks anymore they have the same meaning as High Admiral. The 5th fleet just supports these rankings out of tradition. The rank of Lord Admiral is a bit special since noone really reached that ranking till now, but in the Imperial times some NPCs had that ranking.
