Stardestroyers
Stardestroyers had been the main battleships of the Galactic Empire. These battleships are extremely large to be able to move large amount of fighters, grond forces, landing crafts and ground vehicles all over the galaxy.
Many of the stardestroyers in the 5th fleet are meanwhile decades old and have upgraded energy, weapon and shield systems in all the time, so shield strenth and weapons aren't identicaly from ship to ship anymore and they are far away from the original schemes of ISD, ISD-2, VSD and so on.

Imperator Class Stardestroyer
Crew: around 37000
Manifacturer: Kuat Drive Yards
Fighter Squadrons: 6
Length: 1.60 km
ID-Code: ISD

The Imperator Class Stardestroyer has been the main warship type of the empire. The empire didn't care much for for the extraordinary costs and troop requirements of an ISD, the ISD was just a ship that was bigger then almost every ship the opponents of the empire had.
Till the development of the B-Wing the ISD was kinda undefeatable. But the B-Wing squadrons, unlike the Y-Wing squadrons, had good chances breaking through the TIE Fighter defenses. So the Alliance was able to attack the Imperial battleships from distace. Even the development of the ISD-2 didn't change the fate much.
After the fall of the empire ISDs got rare cause the Imperial remnants often had problems getting enough personnel and resourses together to have many ISDs. The remaining ISDs are usually from the time before the Battle of Endor.
Most of the ISDs of the Fallen have been modified and upgraded over 10 to 20 years, none of them really fits into the old ISD-1/ISD-2/ISD-3 type sheme anymore.

Venator Class Stardestroyer
Crew: around 7400
Manifacturer: Kuat Drive Yards
Fighter Squadrons: 4
Length: 1.137 km
ID-Code: VNSD
|
|
The Venator Class Stardestroyer was the major Republican battleship at the end of the Clone Wars.
Later the empire replaced these battleships more and more through the new Imperium Class.
The modern Venators are usually refitted wrecks from the Clone Wars or the early years of the Galactic Empire. With the refitting most internal systems get replaced, besides repairing the hull damages. Still the costs for a refitted VNSD is still less then one third of the costs for a new one, the problem is just to find battlefields tha haven't been already plundered by Uglings. Through the large battledamages each VNSD is refitted individually, so no two ships of that type are identical.

Victory Class Stardestroyer
Crew: around 5200
Manifacturer: Kuat Drive Yards
Fighter Squadrons: 2
Length: 0.9 km
ID-Code: VSD
|
|
The Victory Class Stardestroyer is another remnant from the Old Republic. Somehow large numbers of Victory Stardestroyers stayed in service even in the ranks of the Imperial remnants. With the VSD-2 and the VSD-3 newer types of the ship had been developed in the Galactic Empire.
Like the other Stardestroyers the VSDs in the service of the Fallen or the Remnants have so often been modified and refitted, that it's difficult to find an original part in these ships.

The Acclamator Class Stardestroyer is a Stardestroyer build out of the wreck of an Acclamator Class that had been used in the early years of the Clone Wars.
Similar to the Venator Class Wrecks from old battlefields get refitted individually to reduce the costs for new Stardestroyers. Meanwhile the Acclamator Class is the basic battleship of the Fallen fleets.
